“It’s time to choose freedom.” US Senator Rand Paul gets it said.

Things are coming to a head in the US as the push-back gathers strength.

Senator Rand Paul has always been one of the good guys, if not perhaps in quite the same league as his father, Senator Ron Paul, he’s still managed to be one of the most principled and consistent politicians of his generation, and a voice for reason and sanity in these crazy times.

In this video he’s drawing a line in the sand for himself and his staff in their battle against the over-mighty Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, who is pushing for silly and useless restrictions and requirements to be placed on members of both houses in the US Government.

But he’s also making a call to action, a call for massive civil disobedience (not that he puts it in exactly those words), a call for people to simple get on with their lives in such large numbers that they cannot be stopped.

To steal a phrase:

Become Ungovernable.

And although his video is directed at the US, the same problems, and the same solutions, face us here.

As I said on my Facebook Page the other day:

You comply because you want it to end. It doesn’t end, because you comply.

The time for civil disobedience has come.
