Lockdowns as a first line of defence… the ONLY line of defence.

Daniel Andrews has decreed that the term of house-arrest for all Melbournians is now extended by another week.

He says this is necessary, essential, we have no choice. If we don’t do it, then all our hard work will be undone…

For Premier Andrews, Lockdowns are the only tool in his toolbox, his first and only line of defence, his only ‘option’ (which is no ‘option’ at all.) He implements lockdowns within a day of declaring ‘zero’ cases, leaving Victorian’s perpetually on edge, unable to plan anything, unable to get on with anything resembling normal live even when we’re NOT locked in our homes.

Remarkably, this tweet just 36 hours before Lockdown 6 started, revealed not only the number of locally acquired cases that day, but also the number of strategies and options Daniel Andrews has besides lockdowns…. Zero.

Which is funny, given Dandrews has been at pains to insist how everything he’s doing is based on the science, and how he’s ‘listening to the experts’ ever so much… Here’s what the experts at the WHO have to say about lockdowns, as even the ABC reported:

The truth is Daniel Andrews is not following the science, and never was! This insane ‘Covid Zero’ strategy we’ve been suffering under since March 2020 was never scientific, it was political from the start. REAL epidemiologists have been saying since the start:

Protect the vulnerable, let it spread among the rest of the population.

That’s been the real scientific advice from the beginning, as I mention in this video from March 2020, where I volunteer to be a part of the community that gets the virus, for the sake of us all:

Lockdowns as a primary tool for controlling the virus (as distinct from using them as a last resort when / if the hospital system is being pushed beyond capacity) is not scientific, is not recommended by the WHO, and is NOT getting us ‘through’ this pandemic, it’s keeping us stuck IN this pandemic.

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result, then Daniel Andrews has well and truly lost his mind.
