The Fall of VicPol – from ‘Uphold the Right’ to ‘Do as you’re told’.
Victoria Police may never recover from their actions in the last year. Their standing with the community is being strained, and they’ve gone ‘all in’ in backing Daniel Andrews… and when he falls from grace (and fall he will) and his incompetence, his recklessness, his utter failure is laid bare for all to see, VicPol themselves will incur the righteous wrath of Victoria.
It’s one thing for a little dick – err, sorry, a ‘little dictator’ to write insane rules and make mad proclamations… but it means nothing, it does no harm whatsoever, unless there are some little enforcers willing to turn the madman’s words, into maddening actions.
Without VicPol being his own private army, Dan Andrews would never have been able to destroy Victoria in this way. He would just be a madman in a high tower raging at the sky… but thanks to VicPol we are each and every one of us trapped in some awful fanfic version of Alice in Wonderland. We’re trapped in a land ruled with an iron fist and a jelly mind, instead of the Queen of Hearts we have the ‘Bleeding Heart’ of Daniel Andrews as he pouts and puffs and reminds us that it’s all for our own good and how very jealous the rest of the world is of our (read: HIS) wonderful success.
And it’s all made possible because VicPol have no moral compass, no moral anchor, and they enable a level of oppression that would have made Kruschev blush.
And don’t insult yourself by insisting that ‘they’re just following orders’. If that’s your answer, read a history book.
The fact is that we are all, each and every one of us, morally responsible for every action we take. The law is not relevant, our boss’ orders are not relevant, nothing and no one absolves us of our moral responsibility for all that we do. Not a uniform, not a badge, not an order, not a law. Nothing. You are and forever will be morally responsible for every action you take.
That’s a terrifying thought because, I’ll say it again, that’s true for every single one of us.
And it’s true for the police. There’s no exception for them. There’s no exception for uniforms, badges, or ‘orders’.
With that in mind, let’s review a little of what’s been going on in Victoria, and what VicPol have been up to as they’ve gleefully enforced every mad dictat from Dan the little dick-tator.
There’s something short and sweet to ease us in to this issue. No biggie, just a fully armed and armoured riot cop calling protestors ‘Pussies’ whilst hiding behind his mates with shields and fingering his firearm.
Nothing to see here, all perfectly normal and acceptable… I mean after all, the MSM told us VERY clearly that it was the PROTESTORS who started all the fights, and they’d never lie to us…
Now I’m sure that’s just one cop, a rogue example of one individual with a rush of blood to the head… it couldn’t possibly be just one small example of a bigger cultural issue now could it?
And certainly, those cultural issues couldn’t possible extend to the police being willing to abuse due process and use charges and bail conditions cynically as a method of control… they’d never do that now would they?
Sadly yes.
But VicPol wouldn’t be partisan would they? They are a completely neutral enforcement agency that wouldn’t stoop to playing politics… would they?
Compare the treatment of these anti-government protests, with the treatment of the BLM protests. And don’t BS yourself by pretending they’re cracking down on these anti-government protests ‘because they’re violent’. The violence is coming FROM the police, and in fact VicPol Chief Commissioner Shane Patton admitted to a Parliamentary Inquiry that they allowed the BLM protests because they ‘feared riots’ if they tried to stop them!
So lets sum up… they took a step back from the BLM protests because they feared violence if they tried to stop them… but they actively and violently try to stop the anti-government protests despite the fact that, UNTIL the police start the violence, they are entirely peaceful…
What’s going on here?
The Police are not neutral. That’s what’s going on. VicPol have been captured by the Victorian Labor Party. They are a partisan private army of Dan Andrews. They leave BLM alone for fear of violence (which would have made BLM look bad on the tellie) but actively create opportunities for violence, and even actively goad people INTO violence, when it’s an anti-Dan Andrews rally.
They slapped the BLM organisers with fines (which they acknowledge don’t stick) just for show, but if you’re involved in protests against Daniel Andrews then they’ll arrest you, trump up charges, and slap you with bail conditions in the hope you break bail and then they can REALLY go to town on you.
What I find most astonishing of all is that VicPol really feel no shame at all about this. In previous dictatorships the government has had to create their own ‘secret police’ or other enforcement arm, because the regular police couldn’t be relied on to simply fall into line so easily.
Here in Victoria Daniel Andrews doesn’t need secret police… the regular police are more than willing to kick down doors arresting people for FB posts, attack people in parks for the crime of sitting in the sun, and shoot people with rubber bullets for daring to speak out against their dear leader.
Yes, in case you didn’t already know, VicPol have now pulled the trigger on protestors. With rubber bullets / pepper balls (not sure which) and beanbag rounds, no live ammunition yet… but when they get the violence they try to instigate, they then escalate gleefully to using near-lethal levels of force.
Here’s a good response to this escalation of violence from ‘Melbourne Activist Legal Support’:
https://melbactivistlegal.org.au/2021/08/22/statement-of-concern-police-use-of-projectile-weapons/
You can see in the video coverage from Real Rukshan (worth a follow if you don’t follow him already!) that the cops armed with these ‘less lethal’ type weapons were watching… LOOKING for a target. If you put a gun in a mans hand, he’ll go looking for reasons to use it, and there’s no question that’s what’s happening here.
And they found people to shoot at. I believe more than one person was shot, but Matt Lawson was certainly one of the worst hit. Here’s his perspective on the moment that it happened:
https://t.me/mattlawsonphotography/1567
Notice how they KEEP shooting him even after he’s on the ground. Even drunkards in pub brawls know you don’t kick a man once he’s down. Seems like such basic Australian concepts of decency are somehow trained out of our ‘protectors’.
Here’s one of the projectiles used:
Here’s what it does to you:
And keep in mind, Matt Lawson isn’t what you’d call an agitator. You saw in the video above he came out from within the crowd after he saw the guns, to appeal to the police NOT to use them!
He also gives us more perspective in this video from his Telegram (click the link to watch):
https://t.me/mattlawsonphotography/1572
Here he is, assisting police, alerting them to children in the crowd, appealing to them to NOT use their weapons… and for his trouble he gets singled out for being shot multiple times.
VicPol are destroying their heritage and reputation.
They are NOT impartial.
They are NOT using the minimum force necessary.
They are NOT upholding the right.
I know there are members within VicPol who know how wrong this is. I know there are retired police officers who are horrified at what VicPol have become… but we need you to speak out publicly. We need you to show us that you’re not all bad, that some of you still have the courage of your convictions, that some of you will still do what’s RIGHT no matter what your orders are…
Someone…
Anyone…?
Daniel Andrews will fall from grace, and his fall will be terrible when it comes. And a lot of very angry people will then be looking for justice against all those who supported him.
Speak now, waiting till after the fall will be waiting till it’s too late.

G’day Topher. I wholeheartedly agree with what you have been saying all this time and moreso of recent re Vic Pol. They have started it and they will not finish it. If they use rubber bullets etc, they people will no longer put up with it as you can only use legal means so much before you push an Aussie over the top. Then lookout. There are arms within the community and they will be used against VicPol. Not nice I know but enough is enough. Lawyers are travelling as fast as they can to derail what is going on but that is not enough, the system is too slow and deliberately slow. I hate to think about it but it will happen I’m sure. As you said those weapons can kill, and what they did to that guy totally unarmed – disgusting. I am actually surprised the crowd did not retaliate seriously. If that woman had been shot… what then? Vic Pol some how need to be told – they have pushed too far. Then there is the ADF. Are they not meant to stand for the people?? Are the brass of them tied up in this tyrany too? If so…. omg. I learnt today that apparently during the mist of other issues somewhere around 2016 the govt slipped a law in that no trucks will block raods in Australia, Blockade wise, and if they do the ADF will be called to clear it and the truckers will be penalised. So that leaves them just not to go to work. I am not sure that would work either. So, where does this stop? Very interseting times along with sacrey times too. I do believe they will shut down the internet and power supply systems soon but I also believe they will be deafeated somehow. There will already be a shortage of food supplies that is guaranteed. How on earth do we get the GG involved? I guess that is a lost cause as well. But back on the push an Aussie too far…. there were signs of that in the Melb protest on the front line. As mad as they were when you look at it, they were ready, just needs a bag over their eyes and who knows what the cops would have received. Anyway. Just had to have a say Topher. It’s great listening to your live feeds etc.
Hi Steve, I share your concerns. I definitely do not want to see outright violence in either direction, from the police or directed towards them! They are our neighbours and our families, and we are theirs.
It’s my sincere hope that we can mend this mad situation without it having to come to that level of hostility, but matters are not helped by the Police literally goading people into violence, then escalating to the highest level of force available short of killing people.
We’re only one mistake away from someone being killed, and after that all bets are off. I would love for us to find a way through this that starts with us taking a step back from the violence, but sadly the violence suits the police, it’s where they’re most comfortable and highly trained.
Topher, I whole heartedly agree with everything you have said.
As someone who has worked alongside police in a number of different roles, I know there are very good people within VicPol.
The only sticking point I have, is the crowd set off flares towards the police and threw a couple of water bottles. These actions are hardly comparable with the response that was received, however, this is the justification that the police used to retaliate.
People need to be seriously above reproach, to really earn the respect and sympathy of the people at home. This entails leaving the flares and any other projectiles at home.
At this time, I would like to draw your attention to the UN position paper titled “Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials” (https://www.ohchr.org/en/professionalinterest/pages/useofforceandfirearms.aspx).
Australia is a signatory to the UN, and therefore “bound” by this position paper.
I note point the following:
4. Law enforcement officials, in carrying out their duty, shall, as far as possible, apply non-violent means before resorting to the use of force and firearms. They may use force and firearms only if other means remain ineffective or without any promise of achieving the intended result
7. Governments shall ensure that arbitrary or abusive use of force and firearms by law enforcement officials is punished as a criminal offence under their law.
I note that any individual, such as Matt Lawson, can lodge charges by filing the relevant paperwork
